The Spiritual Director

Don Stone is committed to living his life as an example
of Jesus' faith, hope and love by applying his training
as a Spiritual Director and Chaplain to help others
experience God's tremendous love and action in their lives.

Don's experience includes:

- Two year internship in Ignation Spirituality with concentration in Ministry of Spiritual Direction at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

- Eight years providing spiritual direction to those who are seeking to walk more
closely with God

- Twelve years as a Stephen Minister at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church
in Lake Orion, MI.

- One year Clinical Pastoral Education Intern at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.

- Two years as a hospice chaplain at Odyssey Hospice Health Care in Southfield, MI.

- Three years as a jail chaplain at the Oakland County Jail

- Ten years mentoring men to change their lives by connecting more deeply with God,
themselves and others

- Thirty years as a special education teacher, counselor, principal and director of
special education.  

- Presently a Lilly Foundation Fellow in Sustaining Pastoral Excellence, a program of vision and nurture for pastoral leaders, at Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, MI.
